Crowdstrike Blue Screen Issue
Windows outages are being reported across the globe, apparently caused by CrowdStrike endpoint sensor installed on windows systems. The symptoms include experiencing a bug check screen error related to the Falcon Sensor.
CrowdStrike is aware of the issue, and their Engineering teams are actively working to resolve this issue to ensure a swift resolution.
If the bluescreen/crash persists following a reboot, please follow the temporary workaround steps proposed by Crowdstrike engineering:
1. Boot Windows into safe mode or Windows recovery environment
2. Navigate to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory
3. Locate the file matching “C-00000291*.sys” and delete it.
4. Boot the host normally.
BIRGER.'s team is actively working to support our customers until a fix is released by Crowstrike.
