CEO Season’s Greetings 2023

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

2023 was a great year for BIRGER. Throughout the year, we celebrated BIRGER.’s 70th anniversary with 11 monthly NewsIT by our subject matter experts analysing the technology trends and making future technology predictions. To mark BIRGER.’s 70th anniversary we organised two events with our stakeholders in Madagascar and Mauritius; and we also launched our new Business Centre in Forest Side, Mauritius.

With 2023 drawing to a close, I want to take a look back at what makes BIRGER. today and what will guarantee our future sustainability.

The past 70 years have been driven by many strategies and plans. But one component has never changed: at the heart of BIRGER. are its employees. And this will remain.

All of BIRGER.’s development over the past 7 decades would not have been possible without the contribution of everyone.

When we wake up every morning, it's not always easy. But as the days go by, we forget the pain and appreciate the results which hard work brings.

As Elbert Hubbard the great American philosopher said «A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what seemed hopeless failure may turn out to be glorious success.»

Sustained work, investment in self-learning new technologies, patience in the face of technical problems, supporting our customers for hours, nights and days. And then finally the satisfaction of being able to find the solution for our customers. This is what I call the “job well done”. This is what makes BIRGER's DNA. It's the feeling of being BIRGER.!

Our customers are satisfied with the service and solutions we deliver to them. This is the feeling of being BIRGER. That's what makes the difference between us and the others. It is this work well done by providing our proximity services that differentiate us.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our colleagues for all your efforts, which allows us to be proud to be part of BIRGER.

Looking towards the future, BIRGER. has everything to succeed. Our main objective for the years ahead should be to give an extraordinary level of proximity services to our customers, which will develop the desirability of BIRGER's offerings in the Eastern African Region. Growth and profitability will be a consequence.

Long term approach is part of our culture. We have to be patient. After our founding fathers created our company in 1953, it took us more than 50 years to find the right formula for our future and position ourselves as an IT integrator. BIRGER. is today a reference in the Eastern African Region.

We are intrinsically attached to BIRGER. at the heart of which we grew up, which has shaped our dreams as much as we are. We are happy to be able to be more and more involved and continue to its development.

I am committed to use my drive for the development of BIRGER., relying on you, on my intuitions and our strategic vision, whose acuity has never been contested.

The regional success of our business model around our 3 core services: Technology – Security - Resiliency, which we have been positioning since 2017, is now hitting the mark in our region.

Beyond our technological offers, it is the quality of our services that can really change the world of tomorrow. The intrinsic and optimal quality of our proximity services is our concrete and palpable form of truth.

To ensure the sustainability of BIRGER. we must sustain the quality of our proximity services and we must act. Act now to perpetuate this feeling of being BIRGER.. Act to prepare for our future.

In 2024 and beyond, a host of projects and opportunities await you, with the opening of new business centres in 2 regional countries. Now is the time to reflect, how you want to evolve professionally during this new year.

Maybe your professional goal for 2024 centers around improving your skills in a specific area, such as AI, blockchain, or Metaverse. Or perhaps your personal goal is focused to improve your work life balance for a better healthy situation. I encourage you to reflect on your new year’s resolutions during this festive season.
