Gordon Love

Vice President for Emerging Markets, EMEA

Gordon Love is the Vice President for Emerging Markets, including Middle East, Africa, Russia and South Eastern Europe for Symantec. In this role, he is responsible for overall sales and strategic market management across the territory, while driving new business growth in the commercial and enterprise segments. Love’s main focus is to enhance Symantec’s relationship with key customers with a mission to protect them against today’s sophisticated cyber security attacks and tomorrow’s threats.

Prior to this role, Gordon served as the Regional Director for Symantec in Middle East and Africa where he significantly grew the business and drove incremental revenue with customers in the oil & energy, financial, public sector, healthcare and small business markets. In this role, Gordon was responsible for more than 33 high growth countries.

Before joining Symantec in mid-June 2009, Gordon worked with the company for five years through a channel reseller partnership. Gordon has 21-years experience in various sales, strategy, operations and business development roles for both startups and established corporate companies, including The Johannesburg Stock Exchange, Standard Bank, First National Bank, IBM and Faritec.

Gordon completed his MBA Degree (Cum Laude) and an Executive Development Programme focused on Competitive Strategies for Emerging Market Economies from the University of Pretoria, which he completed with distinction. Gordon also completed a Management Advancement Programme at the University of Witwatersrand with distinction.

Outside of work, Gordon enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and cheering on his beloved Liverpool football team.


Antonio Forzieri

Global Cyber Security Practice Lead

At Symantec Antonio Forzieri is responsible for the Cyber Security offering for Global from a technology perspective. Previously Antonio worked in Symantec as a Cyber Security Practice Lead for EMEA supporting customers in complex Cyber Security Initiatives ranging from building/evolving Cyber Defense Centers to supporting customers in Cyber Security Intelligence Programs. Before joining Symantec, Antonio worked for a number of Italian companies with EMEA wide responsibilities dealing with Compliance, Endpoint Security, Data Loss Prevention, Encryption, Ethical Hacking, Fraud Management and Security Education topics. Amongst other activities, Antonio supports public and private organization during significant security outbreaks and fraud investigations.

Antonio Forzieri holds a degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Politecnico di Milano where he is also a lecturer for the course “Internet: Mobility and Security” and he teaches the Master Class “Fraud Management” for the Security Specialist Master at CEFRIEL.


Lionel Gonzalez

Lionel Gonzalez is the EMEA Symantec Cyber Security Services Partner Specialist.

Lionel has more than 15 years’ experience as a Security expert working with large service providers, outsource solutions providers and software vendors. Lionel joined Symantec in January 2008 where he is working with Partners, large Telco and Service Providers to propose joint services to Enterprise and Residential customers.

His extensive knowledge and experience in security and business challenges has been employed to build new business offerings in partnership with selected Partners in EMEA. Lionel works closely with these partners to propose the best service offerings helping our joint customers solving their security challenges.


Tharvesh Takoory

Avinash Tharvesh Takoory is the Technical Manager for the English Speaking Africa region for Symantec. His role is to determine the appropriate solution to protect customer’s computer, networks, software, data, information systems and data centres against any possible attacks. He holds a BSc in Electronics & Computer Science, an MSc in Computer Security & Forensics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership. He has 7+ years record in the ICT industry in Mauritius and has designed and implemented the IT infrastructure for the top companies across the island.


Daryl Rivet

Territory Manager - English Speaking Africa, Symantec AGC.

Daryl Rivet is the Territory Manager for English Speaking African countries, including East Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa and Indian Ocean Islands for Symantec. In this role, he is responsible for overall sales and strategic market management across the territory, while driving new business growth in the commercial and enterprise segments.

Prior to this role, Daryl served as commercial and Channel manager for Africa looking after the channel of partners and ensure growth of revenue and competencies within the Symantec African channel of partners.

Before joining Symantec in January 2013, Daryl worked with the company for seven years through a channel distribution partnership. Daryl has 14-years experience in various sales, Technical, operations and business development roles for both local and international companies.

Outside of work, Daryl enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Michael Andreou

Managing Director Channel Sales Middle East and Africa

Michael Andreou is the Managing Director for NCR’s Channel Sales business in the Middle East and Africa region.

Michael graduated from the University of Salford in UK in June 1991 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.

He started his career with NCR on September 16th 1991 as a Professional Services software engineer. Following 10 years of tenure in the NCR Professional Services organization, where he also attained the PMP (Project Manager Professional) title, and a Master’s Degree from George Washington University, Michael joined the Sales Organisation in NCR Cyprus. In 2006, he moved to the NCR MEA Channel Sales Organisation, initially managing the Near East and North Africa region.

Following a successful span of 7 years as a Channel Region leader for the NCR MEA Channel Team, Michael was promoted to the position of Managing Director for the MEA Channel region in 2013, covering a total of 48 countries.

During his office as Managing Director, the MEA Channel Team has experienced exponential growth and is currently a major contributor to the NCR MEA overall business.

Michael is based in Cyprus, where he lives with his family.


Neill Harris

Global Marketing Director Self Service Reinvention ATM Solutions NCR Financial Services

Neill is the Global Marketing Director of ATM Solutions within NCR Financial Services. In his role he is responsible for the marketing of NCR’s Self-Service portfolio and articulating the way on which NCR solutions can help customers lower cost, generate revenue and deliver exceptional consumer experiences.

With over 16 years’ experience in the Financial Self-Service industry Neill has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and insight and has over the years been instrumental in defining and executing NCR’s Financial Services marketing strategy through the creation and delivery of high value, innovative, Sales enablement and demand generation campaigns.

Prior to his current role, Neill worked in areas from Competitive and Business Intelligence, Marketing Communications, Product and Solutions Marketing. Within his current role Neill spends much of his time in front of customers presenting to many of the World’s leading banks and Financial Institutions, articulating the way in which SelfService technology and innovation can inform and support customer strategies and solve key business challenges.


Costas Koudounias

Senior Marketing & Deployment Director NCR Financial Services Middle East & Africa Region

Costas Koudounias has been with NCR for over 24 years. He started his career in Cyprus as a Sales Account Manager and later moved to a number of senior sales & marketing positions looking after the business of NCR in the Asia, Middle East & Africa region.

His special expertise and areas of interest are in Self Service and Transaction Automation across different industries. He has been instrumental in establishing NCR as the leader in the area of intelligent deposit automation and branch transformation for the Financial Industry in Middle East & Africa. In addition, he worked closely with major Retailers, Telcos and Airlines in the region to help them introduce self-service.

In his current role, he is NCR’s Field Marketing and Solution Management Director for the Financial Services, covering the MEA region. As part of his duties he dedicates a significant portion of his time on Security matters for ATMs, acting also as a security solution expert for the region.

He holds both a BSc and MSc in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Kansas at Lawrence, USA.


George Kaloutas

Branch Transformation Solutions Sales Leader Middle East, Africa Region

George Kaloutas is the Sales Leader for NCR’s Branch Transformation Solutions in the Financial Sector, where he is responsible for promoting and bringing to market innovative solutions that revolutionize the Retail Banking Branch.

Prior to joining NCR, George served in various leadership positions at IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems with significant wins in the Financial Services Sector.

George is a graduate of EPITA in Paris France (École Pour l'Informatique et les Techniques Avancées) and holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey USA.


Giovanni Karahannas

Sales Specialist Channel Management Solution Middle East and Africa Region

Giovanni Karahannas is the Middle East and Africa Region Solution Sales Specialist, for Channel Management Financial Solutions.

He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, USA, holding a B.B.A. Degree in MIS and an MBA Degree.

Giovanni started his career in NCR Cyprus, back in 2006.

He holds both a BSc and MSc in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Kansas at Lawrence, USA.

Between 2006 and 2012, he was the Solution Sales Specialist for NCR Retail Solutions for Middle East and Africa.

In 2012, Giovanni joined the NCR Legal Department and was responsible for Contract Management for all NCR solutions covering the Middle East and Africa.

In 2016 Giovanni joined the Financial Division of NCR Middle East and Africa, serving as the Solution Sales Specialist for Channel Management Solutions, that include Device Management, Transaction Management, Reconciliation and Cash Management Solutions.


Andreas Eleftheriou

Channel Account Manager Financial Services Middle East and Africa Region

Andreas Eleftheriou is the Channel Account Manager for NCR Financial Services in the Middle East and Africa region.

He is a graduate from the University of Portsmouth in the UK holding a BSc Degree in Computer Science, and an MSc Degree in Information Systems and Technology.

Andreas started his career with NCR in 2012. Prior to joining NCR, Andreas worked in the Information Technology area serving as IT consultant.

He is responsible for the promotion and selling of NCR’s Hardware and Software Solutions in a number of countries in the Africa area.

Jaroslav Kosek

Regional Sales Director Bureau Solutions, EMEA

Jaroslav graduated Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic in 1986. After spending several years at the Foreign Trade Company responsible for the importation of office and printing equipment, Jaroslav became involved in development of card market and providing plastic cards, personalization equipment and solutions.

Jaroslav joined Entrust Datacard 18 years ago setting up Datacard Czech Republic office based in Prague developing distribution network and working with key accounts in Central, Eastern Europe and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States).

Jaroslav has been involved in many projects and working on solutions of issuance of plastic cards supporting financial programs, loyalty schemes and government applications; eg National ID cards, Drivers licenses along with issuance of passports.

In the last years Jaroslav has been helping also to address market needs in Middle East and part of Africa.

Jaroslav is located in Prague, Czech Republic.


Jean- Louis Meyer

EMEA Marketing Director Payment solutions

Mr. Jean-Louis Meyer is the Marketing Director for the Payment solutions in EMEA at Entrust Datacard; a leading solution provider for highly secure transactions and trusted identities, enabling majority of consumer payments, driving mobile commerce adoption.

After a BSc Degree in Engineering Jean-Louis started his carrier in the Semiconductor and Smartcard industry prior to join Datacard Group in 1999.

He held several leading sales and marketing positions before to be appointed General Manager for the French Operations of Entrust Datacard in Orleans in 2012. Jean Louis extended is role by taking the position of EMEA Director for payment solutions in April 2016.

Jean-Louis accounts 21 years of experience in the smartcard industry !


Denis Pacquier

Business Solutions Consultant EMV and Production Management Solutions, EMEA

Denis graduated ENSSAT Engineering School, Lannion, France in 1995.

Denis started his career in the Engineering team at Alcatel, in telecom market, but quickly joined Gilles Leroux SA, Orléans, France, starting 1999 for several years as Software Engineer in smartcard personalization software, supporting customers and sales all around the globe.

Denis joined Entrust Datacard in 2003 when Gilles Leroux SA has been acquired, and worked for more than a decade as Project Manager in various government projects (ID cards, health cards, DL cards, passports…) in Americas, Europe and Africa.

Early 2015, Denis moved to pre-sales activities, acting as Business Solutions Consultant for EMV market in EMEA as well as for production management solutions worldwide.

Denis is located in Orléans, France.


Jacques Harel

Chief Executive Officer

Jacques Harel détient une licence de l'Université de Westminster à Londres.

Il est comptable agréé de l'Institut des Experts-Comptables d'Angleterre et du pays de Galles (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales [ICAEW]). Il a travaillé plusieurs années en tant qu’expert-comptable pour les cabinets Hacker Young à Londres et De Chazal du Mée à Maurice et a acquis une expertise dans divers secteurs économiques. Il est le Président Directeur Général de BIRGER. depuis avril 2007, une société technologique opérant à Maurice, dans les îles de l'océan Indien et en Afrique.


Rahman Nabheebucus

Responsable du département Monétique (SelfService and Payment Business Unit)

Ayant travaillé avec BIRGER. Au cours des 28 dernières années, Rahman Nabheebucus est actuellement responsable de notre département Monétique (SelfService and Payment Business Unit).

Depuis 1990, chez BIRGER., Rahman a été impliqué dans la mise en œuvre de divers projets pour le gouvernement  et les industries du textiles et agricoles  avant de passer au secteur financier en 1995.  Depuis, il a principalement été impliqué dans des projets en Libre-Service, GAB, TPE, émission de cartes, serveur monétique et traitement des chèques  pour les banques en général, à la fois à Maurice et dans les îles de l'océan Indien. 

Avec plus de 22 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie de libre-service et dans des domaines connexes, et en travaillant en étroite collaboration avec nos partenaires clés, Rahman a accumulé une richesse de connaissances, lui permettant de mieux gérer notre portefeuille Monétique.


Frederic Ng

Executive – Sales & Operations

Frederic Ng is the Executive – Sales & Operations of BIRGER. He has 15 years of experience in the Information Technology sector.

He graduated from the University of Cambridge, UK, in 2001 with a Masters in Engineering – Electrical and Information Sciences.

Frederic Ng started his career at BIRGER. in 2006, when he joined as a Sales Executive looking after entry-level to mid-range infrastructure solutions mainly based on IBM and EMC hardware.

In 2010, Frederic was appointed as the Head of Sales for the Enterprise Systems and Solutions Business Unit. His focus was to propose high-end solutions to customers and he has been involved in the implementation of a number of key infrastructure projects in the banking sector.

In July 2014, he was promoted to the post of Executive – Sales & Operations to oversee the overall operations of BIRGER. He also manages the relationship with customers and vendors with whom he worked closely during his time at the Enterprise Systems and Solutions Business Unit.


Parwez Bhugalee

Executive - Business Development for BIRGER.

Parwez Bhugalee, diplômé de l’Université du Cap est titulaire d’un BSc en ingénierie avec une spécialisation en télécommunications et en électronique. Il est certifié en Project Management et titulaire d'un certificat en Management et Leadership.

Ayant débuté sa carrière à l'extérieur de Maurice comme Systems Engineer, Parwez a travaillé pendant trois ans sur le marché international avant de rejoindre BIRGER. en 2003.

De 2003 à 2007, il a travaillé en tant que Project Leader et éventuellement Project Manager, gérant et soutenant des projets spécifiques avec les équipes appropriées.

De 2007 à 2014, son parcours professionnel l'a mené vers un rôle de management dans le business unit «Enterprise Systems and Solutions» et Head de «BIRGER. Technology and Services» afin de développer nos solutions sur le marché local et régional. Au cours de cette période, il était aussi responsable de la gestion des relations stratégiques avec nos parternaires pour le développement de notre portefeuille de sécurité.

Depuis juillet 2014, Parwez a été promu au poste de Executive - Marketing and Business Development, avec un accent stratégique sur le développement de nos activités en Afrique de l'Est.

Michael Perrine

Responsable du département Sécurité Physique (Business Security Solutions)

Michael Perrine est responsable de l'unité Business Security Solutions.

Michael a étudié à l'école technique St Gabriel et détient un brevet dans le domaine de l'électronique. Il a commencé sa carrière avec BIRGER. depuis 2000. Entre 2000 et 2009, il a travaillé comme technicien de terrain dans l'atelier de bureautique en fournissant un soutien sur divers types d'équipements tels que des photocopieuses, des solutions d'expédition, des systèmes de files d'attente, des caméras et des systèmes de gestion de temps. Il a été formé à l’étranger et certifié sur les produits de sécurité et les solutions d'impression de cartes Entrust Datacard.

En 2010, Michael a été promu Sales et support technique où il était en charge des techniciens de terrain et a également commercialisé la plupart des solutions bureautiques. En 2012, Michael a été chargé de commercialiser et de vendre les solutions Entrust Datacard et son équipe technique a mis en œuvre divers projets dans les secteurs financier et gouvernemental.

En 2015, Michael est devenu responsable de l'unité commerciale Solutions de sécurité chez BIRGER.


Pascal Pigeot

Head of Network Operations Centre BU

Pascal Pigeot is the Head of Network Operations Centre, BIRGER.

He is a graduate of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry holding a BTS in Information Technology and an MBA Degree in Law, Economics and Management from the I.A.E. of Poitiers.

Pascal started his career in BIRGER., back in 2001.

Between 2001 and 2014, he worked as a Product Manager for Mid-range Systems and Virtualisation platforms, marketing global brands as IBM, EMC, and Vmware. 

In 2010 Pascal took responsibility of the maintenance contracts management for the Enterprise Systems and Solutions business unit.

In 2013, he served as Sales Representative for Seychelles at BIRGER. Indian Ocean.

In 2014, he was promoted as Head of BIRGER. Managed Solutions, to manage a team of call centre operators and to manage the after-sales service for BIRGER. IT Store Business Unit, Self Service and Payment Business Unit, and Business Systems and Solutions Business Unit.

In 2015, Pascal became Head of the BIRGER. Network Operations Centre in Phoenix, Mauritius.


Pressley Pavaday

Head of Business Systems and Solutions BU

Pressley Pavaday is Head of Business Systems and Solutions.

He is a graduate of the University of Mauritius holding a BEng (Hons.) Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Pressley started his career with BIRGER. since 2002.

Between 2002 and 2007, he worked as Electronics Engineer in the Field Engineering department providing Support and Consultancy to all the leading Banks in the country. He was responsible to equip the majority of local Banks with electronic cheque processing systems. He has been trained and certified on high speed transports from NCR and on high end Datacard systems.

In 2007, Pressley joined the Professional Services team as Software Engineer and Consultant in Payment Systems. Pressley was responsible of a number of critical projects and developed an end to end solution for cheque truncation in Mauritius. He has been very active in software development, Business Intelligence and integration for critical businesses.

In 2015, Pressley became Head of Business Systems and Solutions and is also responsible of Research and Development and New Technologies at BIRGER.



Djamil Jaddoo

Channel Manager for English Speaking Africa, Symantec

SECURITY - 29 November 2017

He is a graduate of the University of Mauritius holding a BSc Degree in Business Informatics.

Djamil is the Channel Manager for English Speaking Africa. He oversees the relationship with the channel partners and his role consists of ensuring achievement of revenue targets and competencies as well as to develop new markets and establish business relationships in assigned territories. He joined Symantec in September 2016 as Cyber Security Specialist engaging and presenting the value proposition and benefits of the Symantec Managed Security Services to senior and executive management.

He started his career in 2002. He spent three years at Call Services, a subsidiary of Mauritius Telecom, between 2002 and 2005, where he acted as administrator for the Computer telephony Integrated systems.

He has worked several years at Birger. where he held several positions. In 2005, he joined as Support Engineer and from 2010, he served as Head of Network & Security Business unit for a period of 5 years and in 2015 was appointed as Head of Birger. Technology. During his tenure, as part of his responsibililty, was business development in the Indian Ocean Islands and Africa.


Vikash Venkiah

Head of Enterprise Systems and Solutions BU

Vikash Venkiah is Head of BIRGER Business Unit, Enterprise Systems and Solutions (ESS).

He is a graduate of the University of Mauritius holding a BSC in Physics with Electronics. Vikash started his career with BIRGER. since 2005.

Between 2005 and 2009, he worked as System Engineer in the ESS department providing Support for Microsoft, Symantec, IBM, VMware technologies. He was responsible for installation, configuration and support for the various IT infrastructure projects within Mauritius and in the regional island such as Seychelles.

Between 2010 and 2013, he worked as Senior System Engineer in ESS and he was responsible to supervise the projects for ESS and coach the junior Engineers.

In 2014, Vikash was promoted as a Pre-Sales Engineer where he worked closely with his customers by advising them for new technologies in the market and the best solution for their environment.


Kavish Dussoye

Technical Lead and Assistant Head of Enterprise Systems and Solutions BU

Kavish Dussoye is Technical Lead and Assistant Head of Enterprise Systems and Solutions (ESS) Business Unit of BIRGER.

He is a graduate of the Université des Mascareignes holding a DUST in Information Technology and is also a MSc Holder in Business Information Technology from Middlesex University London.

Kavish started his career with BIRGER. since 2009. Between 2009 and 2013, he worked as Systems Engineer in the ESS department providing Professional Services for EMC, VMware, IBM, Microsoft, Symantec technologies. He was responsible for installation, configuration and support for the various IT infrastructure projects within Mauritius and in the Indian Ocean Islands including Seychelles.

In 2014, Kavish was promoted as a Pre-Sales Senior Systems Engineer where he worked closely with his customers by advising them for new technologies in the market and the best solution for their environment. He was also responsible to mentor and coach the junior Engineers.

In 2015, Kavish became Technical Lead and Assistant Head of Enterprise Systems and Solutions.


Anthony Chan Sui Ko

Head of Network & Security

Anthony Chan Sui Ko is Head of Network & Security.

He is a graduate from City University of London holding a BEng in Computer System Engineering and also a MSc holder in Telecommunication from Queen’s Mary University of London.

Anthony started his career with BIRGER. since 2010.

Between 2010 and 2012, he worked as Senior Engineer in the Network & Security department providing Support for Cisco, Avaya, HP, Polycom and RAD technologies. He was responsible for installation, configuration and support for the various network infrastructure projects within Mauritius and in the regional island.

Between 2012 and 2015, he worked as Project manager in Network & Security and he was responsible to supervise the projects for Network & Security as well as lead the technical team to work closely with his customers by advising them on new technologies in the market and the best solution for their environment. He was also responsible to mentor and coach the junior Engineers.

In 2015, Anthony became Head of Network and Security Business Unit of BIRGER.

Tandeo [Suraj] Gaya

Cyber Security Consultant

Tandeo [Suraj] Gaya is the Cyber Security Consultant at BIRGER.

He holds a broad number of Professional Certifications from multiple vendors and institutions like Microsoft, IBM, Symantec, EMC, NetApp, Mile2 and GIAC.

Prior to coming to BIRGER., Suraj spent three years at a multinational French Hosting company, where he was a Senior Microsoft Systems Administrator. In 2006, Suraj joined the Mauritius Commercial Bank as an Infrastructure Support Engineer after which he was promoted to Systems Engineer in 2008.

In 2010, Suraj joined BIRGER. as Senior Systems Engineer in the Enterprise Systems and Solutions Business Unit. He was responsible for providing infrastructure solutions, project management and support related to customers‘ core server, storage, and backup as well as disaster recovery systems.

Between mid-2012 and 2015, Suraj assumed roles of Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Lead and Business Development providing infrastructure solutions and managing projects for multiple customers across the Indian Ocean region and East Africa.

From December 2015 till March 2018, Suraj was appointed as the Cyber Defense Center Leader of BIRGER. and was responsible for overseeing strategic pre-sales and operations around the Cyber Security Services offered by BIRGER. He was also responsible of a team of Security Analysts who are responsible for the monitoring of customer security and handling security incidents.

As from April 2018, Suraj is assuming the role Cyber Security Consultant with the responsibility to develop the Cyber Security Services portfolio for BIRGER. and also design and deliver solutions and services to customers.
