Social support from friends, family, and colleagues can provide a sense of connection and assist individuals whilst facing disruptive events.
- Importance of setting realistic goals and maintaining a sense of purpose in life. Individuals with a clear sense of purpose and meaning in their lives, are more likely to be resilient when facing adversity. They have a greater sense of well-being.
- The ability to develop a sense of gratitude and focus on the positive aspects of life. Gratitude practices, such as keeping a journal for appreciations or expressing thankfulness to others can improve well-being and enhance personal resilience.
