Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2023

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Thank you for being a member of BIRGER. during this past year and ahead of 2023 when we shall honour our company for its 70th anniversary.

As 2022 draws to a close, we are looking back on an eventful year for BIRGER.: not only did we make great progress in advancing our strategy, we delivered big projects in the Eastern African region, we signed ground-breaking partnerships, we designed innovative solutions for our customers and we carried our digital transformation.

Through all what we have collectively experienced in 2022, celebrating our success is important, which keeps BIRGER. going year after year. But, what keeps BIRGER. together, is our values. This is why this year’s end-of-year greetings to our stakeholders have focused on our values, GREAT :

Green: To promote an environmentally conscious workplace.

Responsible: To adopt a «can do» attitude and take responsibility for all actions taken, whereby we respect our promises and show dedication.

Excellence: To continuously do our best to deliver optimal solutions and services for our customers.

Adaptable: To showcase our ability to be resourceful and adjust to new conditions.

Trusted-integrity: To display honesty and being forthright to work ethically.

I am extremely grateful for all your contribution this year, which reminds me whilst reflecting over 2022, that BIRGER.’s success is the collective actions of each and every employee; and the relationship between each of us contributes to our collective goals.

Towards our purposeful growth, I look forward to roll out in 2023, BIRGER. Ways of Working (B.WOW) policy, with options to work: at one of our office locations (in Mauritius or in the region), to work online from home or to work virtually. I am sincerely convinced that our new B.WOW policy will make a positive impact on our business strategy as we reconnect to the world.

In anticipation to the upcoming festive season, I recommend that this year’s festivities are not merely another Christmas and another New Year celebration. I urge you to take the required time to plan ahead these celebrations with your family and friends to make the upcoming festivities memorable after a hard year of work and a well-deserved break.
