Technical Sales Representative

BIRGER. covers 9 territories in the Indian Ocean Islands (IOI) and East Africa. Our 3 core services, Technology-Security-Resiliency, leverage on our cumulated know-how and experience gained since 1953. 

We are recruiting Technical Sales Representative. The ideal candidates should have a real interest in working in Technology.


  • Identify and follow-up on sales opportunities for both existing and new customers
  • Develop and nurture excellent customer relationship
  • Respond to sales requests in a timely manner
  • Complete Technical Sales certifications and promote the products accordingly
  • Understanding customer requirements and advise properly
  • Follow-up on orders, delivery schedules, aftersales, invoicing.
  • Conduct and attend meetings, presentations with customers and partners on a regular basis
  • Complete trainings, certifications and continuous professional development as required
  • Contribute to business development aligned with company strategy
  • Prepare timely reports based on sales activities
  • Work in collaboration with Engineering team and follow-up on projects


  • Degree in Marketing, Commerce, Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, IT or Engineering
  • Experience in IT-based environment would be an advantage
  • Experience in sales, pre-sales activities or project management would be an advantage


  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written (English and French) communication skills is mandatory
  • Excellent basic IT skills – Microsoft Office is mandatory
  • Excellent understanding in corporate sales principles and processes
  • Good Knowledge in IT industry is required
  • Passionate and motivated 
  • Ability to work independently and at odd hours
  • Ability to win negotiations in favour of the company
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Positive attitude and excellent team spirit
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • A valid driver’s license will be an advantage
